Overall, Godshalk Racing feels that the season was a success and that they are ready to continue being competitive as they move up to the Modified division this coming season.
2008 Season Recap
Godshalk Racing made ten starts in the modified division, two at the Fulton Speedway, and eight at the Utica-Rome Speedway. Their best finish of twelfth came at Utica-Rome. The team was hampered early by an ignition problem, but got the expirience needed to compete next year right away.
2009 Season Recap
The team continued racing at the Utica-Rome Speedway in the modified division. For the 2009 season, the big block modifieds were allowed to compete alongside the small block modifieds. The team suffered a major set-back after a motor problem in a heat race in the second night out lead to the car getting hit badly in the rear end. This caused the team to sit out for a long stretch while the car was rebuilt, and as such only made 7 starts. Progress was made though, and at the end of the year the team was extremely competitive at the New Yorker weekend, narrowly missing the 24 car starting grid of which 60 plus car attempted qualifying for.
